I recently went through Luxor 1 on Win7 x64 with no problems; I'm currently going back through Amun Rising with no probs as well.

I've played for a very long time now, and sails of silk and bridges levels are both slow. Nothing I've ever done changed anything. After a couple years I'm just getting to want to do the puzzle level and am having some difficutly and will try another discussion forum for this problem. Have fun everyone!

My Favorite Luxor version is Luxor 3 of those for PCs. The graphics were great through end of game. The levels seemed a bit repetitious in visual stimulation but would vote for background activity to not overpower game as some did in previous versions. (made it hard to see the actualcomponents when color matches spheres and shooter.) Loved the additional puzzle mode & would enjoy challenges like that, in addition to regular play. Did not like "Battle Mode" from QFA!

iphone version could be better with touch shook. Sliding and holding while flipping balls is not fun! Could be interesting with a 1-touch shoot, 2 finger touch flip balls, and /or tilt control to slide around, lift to shoot, etc..

PsP versions- when do we get new one? it is more fun playing there as it burns gameplay much faster in speeds and such! Both of the releases had great visual effects. Especially liked the ability to use the amulets awarded for power-ups. Seemed more fun-trying to figure out which 3 to use vs. going shopping with coins for powerups. Gifts from the gods over hard earned wages any day ! LoL.

Having tablet PC- I'd be happy for a touchscreen type Luxor! A real one requiring no mouse or touchpad. Just your screen & pen.
Like Luxor Mahjong when played on tablet. breaking all the 'time records'

Luxor Mahjong- My all time favorite! Wish it would update for Vista Service Pack 2 compatability. Worked great on Vista until that happened. Now it won't even startup! (I did try reinstall, etc.) So sad. I now have no excuse for 6 hours a day with off and on gameplay and stay productively tense. junior without a mouse adds tension. "I will beg and plea for an update if I must."

A true die-hard Luxor fan I am-

Is anyone using Luxor or Luxor 2 with windows 7? My original Luxor worked fine on my lap top with Windows Vista but stutters on my PC with Windows 7. Same with Luxor 2. Help.........

I have the same problem. I installed the update but it doesn't fix the issue I have with "sails of silk" level.

Good feedback, Bella. Did you prefer any particular backgrounds in Luxor 2? If you don't know the name, you might try explaining it and I'll see if I can figure out which one it is.

I think Luxor 2 is the best even though there are concepts you should take from luxor 3. Definietly keep the basic music theme. I thought Quest was interesting and probably would have liked it more if there wasn't so many bugs in it- although I wasn't crazy about the narrative- especially when it was bugged at 'Place the disk'- 100x over. The last luxor hidden object style was alright but looking for scissors and bottles is repetitive and the hidden object style is becoming stale- the puzzles and traditional luxor was way way too easy. Keep a challenge and stay traditional although a new concept would be nice-make sure you work out the bugs.

Here are some of my favorite levels:
1st Luxor: Threading Cleopatra's Needle & Wrath of Set
Amun Rising: Isis Knot
Luxor 2: Step Pyramid of Djoser, Ptah Daa, Temple of Set & A Game of Senet
Luxor 3: Geb the Grower, Valley of the Queens, Osiris Sleeps, Precious Cargo, Behind the Curtain & Rancor of Set

Luxor 3 is my favorite game out of those four. I love all Luxor games and I hope a new one comes out sometime this year if possible.

I have competed all of the puzzles (as far as I can tell) and all of the levels (easy through insane). I cannot get the last treasure of the Sphinx. Can anyone help? Or at least tell me what I need to do to get all of the treasures.

For the next patch, if it has not already been addressed, the designers could consider tweaking the "store unlock" feature. When I play the adventure the second time after winning easy challenge, I can use my accumlating global score to unlock more items in the store, such as shooters and sphere sets. However, the accumlating score for medium challenge still causes the game to announe "store item unlocked" whenever certain amounts are reached. This occurs even though there are no new items to unlock in the store.

I have had a chance to play Luxor Adventures quite a bit so have a few comments. The game is different than other Luxor games and fun but it is way too easy. The hints are un-needed for most games. The match the items to the list does change a bit but not nearly enough. The 2 people and the so called bad guys are totally un-necessary to the game. The match 3 games are OK but the ones where you hit the ball strings with the same colour are way, way too simple for anyone who has played any Luxor game before. I am not sure if Mumbo Jumbo is trying to get the ages 7 and under crowd but the last few games have been made very simple and not challenging at all. Everyone knows how to play solitare so lighting up the deck when you need to turn a card is totally dumbying down the game. I hope the next Luxor is more challenging.

I was able to get the game to install, have played it for a couple of hours and so far I enjoy it. The puzzles to find things are fun and the one to find the items that don't match from one side to the other also fun. So far it is easy but I expect it will get a bit more challenging.

When reading thru all the problems with this game, I did not see where anyone said the shooter all of a sudden got VERY VERY VERY slow. The balls move at a snail's pace. Anyone had this problem and/or know how to fix it?

I'm just curious. Not one person has made a comment on the new Luxor released in November, yet there are discussions about all the other Luxor games. I wrote about the game in the Luxor v5 status forum and one person wanted more info, so I did. I'm guessing that if anyone has played it, there must be no bugs or other issues. Long story short-has anyone played this game? I just thought that I would get a discussion going by hearing what others thought of Luxor Adventures. Thanx.

Luxor Adventures is now back on MumboJumbo. Hopefully they'll keep it there this time. It comes with Luxor 3 as a free bonus game! How great is that? Try it out.

Ignore that post for now. For some reason the game disappeared last night. I'm guessing it will come back to mumbojumbo on the actual release date. Maybe some changes had to be made, but it's best they do that to make sure there are no bugs in the game. Can't wait for Luxor adventures to return!

Hello everyone! Glad I caught your attention. I have some exciting news! Luxor Adventures is out on mumbojumbo right now for trial and for purchase!!! I can't believe it's really out now. I thought December 1st. Anyway, you may not see it on the home page, but if you click on "all games" you will be able to find it on the list. If you're anxious for this game right now, go play it, you'll love it. I started this post to give you a great update plus I'd like to hear from you guys. Tell me how excited you are that Luxor's out and/or give me your comments about the game after you played a little bit of it. Hope to hear from you all. Again, great game!

Just a note that may help someone out there. I have noticed that if you do not follow instructions to the letter when the game is trying to get you to do some specific task, it gets confused and you will be unable to proceed. I did not go after the thief when first told to. Instead, I went and tried to find the rest of the Scarab. The game then would not let me continue after having accomplished this. I was unable to place the Sun Disk where it was needed. I had to delete my persona and start over. However; the game did start me in a new game with the rank I had achieved before. It also seems to help with preventing the game from locking up if you go to the Menu periodically and then exit the game. The game saves your status before you exit and if you do lock up, you will boot back in where you were without loosing any advancement. Just a heads up.
