Tips & Tricks: Luxor 2 Cheats

    Every month I will reveal some cheats/hints to some of our games. The cheat below for Luxor 2 will allow you to skip to any level you desire and reveal the extremely difficult "Challenge of Horus" difficulty!

    1. Start the game normally
    2. At the main menu click on the “Options” button
    3. After the Options window opens, push both the “Page Up” and “Page Down” keys at the same time and then release.
    4. A window will appear that says “Do you want to permanently enable cheats on this profile?”
    5. Click “Enable Cheats”
    6. You will now notice a new button labeled “Cheats” on the options menu.

    The available cheats include:

    1. Unlock All Levels – unlocks all levels up to the last successfully completed stage
    2. Unlock All Stages – unlocks the beginning of every stage in the game
    3. Unlock Challenge of Horus – unlocks the ultra-difficult Challenge of Horus Mode

    Hi Josh,

    The above hint/cheat doesn't seem to work in Luxor 2 for Macintosh.

    Do you know how to enable cheat mode in the Mac version of the game?

    Or at least can you give some info on where the saved games are stored on the HD?

    Sorry, but in the last levels, after winning 4-5 stages it's really annoying having to go back to the beginning of a level to start over again...

    My saved games are at Library>App..support>mumbojumbo>luxor2>

    The above cheat worked for me on Macbook and helped me to practice later levels.

    Finally I succeeded in making it all the way thru the end of the easy level on a locked profile. 11 million plus points.

    At the end I had the option of going on to "normal" with my remaining lives and score. I selected yes to that option, saved my game, exited, (made a copy of saved game). When I went to continue the saved game on normal, I was asked if I want to continue the saved game on level 1-1 with 11 million points. I selected yes, but then the normal level starts with 0 points and 3 lives -- the default -- and overwrites the saved game.

    I have put the copy of saved game back in the games folder and it does the same thing. Is this a known bug?

    Congratulations on beating the game on Easy and accumulating 11 million points. That last level is one of my favorite Luxor levels. Since the original Luxor, I've always looked forward to playing the last level, whenever a new Luxor game came out.

    Unfortunately, it does appear that you have discovered a bug. I've played through the last level a few times (I've gotten shockingly good at this level, in the process), and found out the following:

    - Whenever you beat the last level, you are given the option to restart Luxor on the next difficulty, while carrying over your lives, points, etc.
    - If you click select the option to continue onto the next difficulty, and then proceed to start the game (ie. do not hit 'Back' on the stage map), it will carry over your lives, coins, points, etc.
    - However, if you select the option to continue onto the next difficulty after you complete the game, visit the stage map, and then select 'Back' on the stage map (as you did when you saved your game), go to the main menu, continue your game, go to the stage map, and start at stage 1, it will not carry over your scores, points, etc from your previous run through the game.

    I'm sorry that you've discovered this bug, but I want to thank you for bringing it to our attention.

    For Luxor 2 cheats, do the function keys really work? For example, F3=lives, F4=stop luxors, ... F9=permanent lightenting ball, F10=permanent fire ball. If so, how are they activated? I have version 2.0.6.17 S Final.
