Luxor Quest for the Afterlife - running better on Vista?

I downloaded the demo on 12/18 and it is so slow. I'm running Vista Home Premium. I don't want to buy the full game if I can't get it to go faster. I've played all the other Luxor games and haven't had this problem before. Any suggestions?

Try this: Go to Options from the main menu and change to Low Detail.

If this doesn't correct the problem let us know.

It helped somewhat until I reached a cut screen and then the computer froze. Also it took over 1 minute 40 seconds to load. Any more suggestions?

I've bought the game now. I may regret it if doesn't run any faster. The game really slows down on the map scenes when I have to select another city to go to. Please help.

Ok. I deleted the game and redownloaded it. I changed the setting to low resolution and it is running faster EXCEPT during the map scenes where you're moving the eye of Horus to the next town. Sometimes it takes over 4 minutes to cycle through all the messages about jars, etc. Is there anything else I can do to speed this part up?

Thanks for your note. We did not design the "tutorials" to be skipable. I am working on some fixes right now and might be able to change that, but I can't promise!

In addition to setting the detail level to Low, set your resolution to its lowest setting in the game (800x600). This should help.
