    I am having a bit of a problem. I bought the download from Comcast games. I am stuck where it won't let me into any of the cities due to the Sun Disc of Aten. I keep getting the message - move the disc closer to panashi. I move it to any city and I still get the message and I can't continue to play. I created a new profile and played with that one but again I have ended up with the same problem.

    Can someone help? I want to play!

    It appears that the source that you downloaded the game from does not have the latest version. We are working to distribute a newer version that resolves the problem you are describing. If you have not yet purchased the game, you might try downloading it from MumboJumbo.com.
     
    In the meantime, the only solution would be to begin a new game. When the thief appears and you place the sun disc the first time, make sure that you actually travel the path to catch the thief. This problem appears to occur whenever people place the sun disc on the first thief and then chose to take another path. Also, this is only a problem with the first thief.

    If I download from MumboJumbo.com and put in my registration code since I have already purchased the game - will that fix the problem?

    Unfortunately your Comcast code won't work with the version downloaded from the site. However, if you give us proof-of-purchase (such as a confirmation email), then we can generate a code so that you can unlock the version downloaded from mumbojumbo.com.

    Good news. I have just recieved clearance to pursue fixing as many of the Luxor: QFTA bugs as possible that related to canopic jars and theives.

    You can help!

    If you are experiencing any of the folloing problems:

    • Unable to catch or see all of the thieves
    • Have caught all of  the thieves but don't have all of the canopic jars
    • Have caught all of the theives but the hidden path to Huton does not show up
    • ...or anything that sounds like one of these problems

    The send me your profile. The profile on Windows XP is saved under: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\MumboJumbo\Luxor - Quest For The Afterlife/Profiles

    I'm not sure of the exact path for Vista.

    In the Profiles folder you will see a .prf file for each profile. Send me the profile that is having the problem. Also, please include a description of the particular situation you are experiencing. These profiles will be very helpful in helping me figure out the problem.

    I've experience a _missing jar or thief_ when restarting the game, and resolved the situation and thought I'd share my "fix" (its worked so far anyway).

    Always be sure to *exit the game from the city map*; just click main menu at the top and exit. I've had no problems using this procedure.

    Hope this helps someone...

    Robert, do you still need profiles for this? I have my old profile still from when I had no sundisc to find the third canopic jar.

    Robert, since I purchased my game at BFG, will you be sending the fixes and patches to them for us to update. Or will we show proof of purchase to get it from MJ? I keep checking on here and at BFG and am hoping these arrive soon. I am excited to get going again on QFTA! Will you update us on here or personally to those of us who sent you the prf file?

    Great news everyone. I am currently working on fixing the thief/canopic jar/sun disc issues in Luxor: Quest for the Afterlife. My guess is that a new build will be distributed early in April on the MumboJumbo website and also be distributed to all of our online partners. Stay tuned.
