I have the same problem. I installed the update but it doesn't fix the issue I have with "sails of silk" level.

I've played for a very long time now, and sails of silk and bridges levels are both slow. Nothing I've ever done changed anything. After a couple years I'm just getting to want to do the puzzle ...
